TJ Young was an invited panelist at the Navigating Funding and Fieldwork workshop, hosted by the UK Polar Network at Durham University. The workshop featured a panel discussion for LGBTQ+ and ethnic minority polar researchers to discuss fieldwork-related issues faced in particular by these minoritised groups. TJ shared his experiences and suggestions navigating around personal topics covering inclusivity, cultural stereotypes, power dynamics, and physical/mental safety.
