Description

Member of the advisory committee - and the only historian.
In 2011 I convened a meeting of parties interested in the centenary attended by two ministers to raise awareness of the issues and to draw attention to the plans of other nations. In 2012 the Prime Minister decided the UK would mark the centenary and formed the advisory committee, which is supported by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
