Description

I created TADSCO (Tadpoles, Scotland) in 2015 to make use of excess to requirement frog tadpoles generated from my research breeding colony of South Africa Clawed frogs (Xenopus laevis) in St Andrews. The main purpose is to communicate basic scientific principles, particularly those relating to animal behaviour and development to school children and lay persons, using metamorphosis as a simple and accessible living model. Our pilot project over the first two years has proven to be surprisingly impactful and inspirational for the next generation of scientists.
