St Andrews Bioblitz 2014

A 24 h event to record as many species as possible in the area around the Scottish Oceans Institute. By the end of the weekend we had identified 415 different species, from diatoms to mammals, including 74 species of seaweed, over 60 birds and 38 moths. Some of these species had never been recorded in this area.

Coordinated the work of a team of over 60 experts and volunteers. Obtained an Outreach Grant from the British Ecological Society and a small contribution from the External Relations Committee to help fund the event.
