    Description

Dr Kim McKee (Director, CHR), delivered a session on 'Social Housing Futures' at an event for front-line housing staff in Lanarkshire. Organised by Lanarkshire Voluntary Housing Forum the event took place on the 13th May in Summerlee Industrial Museum in Coatbridge.

Designed to encourage networking amongst staff working in organisations across North and South Lanarkshire, delegates debated issues relating to social housing affecting their practice now, in the past and in the future.

Kim's session encouraged them to think about how policy changes at the Scotland and UK level may challenge the ethos and management of the sector, and therefore day-to-day housing practice. The session ended with thinking about how innovation and creative thinking could enable social landlords to continue to deliver an excellent service for the tenants and communities in austere times.

The event will be re-run on the 10th June to enable all staff to attend.
