The conference sought to explore widening participation in its widest sense in relation to the teaching and learning of languages in all sectors, including schools and Higher Education: from encouraging language uptake amongst learners from all backgrounds, to reflecting on different approaches to and techniques of ab initio and advanced language teaching.
