The Lectura Dantis Andreapolitana in collaboration with StAnza, Scotland's International Poetry Festival, presents My Dante.
The Lectura Dantis tradition is a format which brings experts to the public and takes a scholarly approach to the exposition of Dante's Divine Comedy.
My Dante is a complementary event which invites the public, as well as some experts, to take a more personal approach to Dante's poem. In this event personally chosen passages from the Divine Comedy will be read. This will be in Italian or in a favourite translation. The readers will be invited to explain their choice of passage and what it means to them.
The event will be introduced by Robert Wilson, one of the organisers of the Lectura Dantis Andreapolitana.
As well as four invited speakers, there are also be two open slots. All slots are 10 minutes in length, including the reading. Anyone who would like to take part should email [email protected].
