Activity: Talk or presentation typesPublic lecture/debate/seminar

Description

This lecture will explore the experiences of demobilised Black Watch soldiers in the years immediately after the end of the Great War. Discussing what could be a difficult period of readjustment to civilian life, often exacerbated by disability, unemployment and accompanying financial pressures, the lecture will consider the important role of regimental and other service associations in providing support for those, and the families of those, who had served 1914-18.
