Description

This lecture was delivered to an international audience on the anniversary of the Battle of Marston Moor. It considered who the main commanders on each side were and the experience they brought with them to the battle that day. It looked at success and failure on both sides and drew attention to the fact that Oliver Cromwell (often accredited with the victory) was a minor player on the winning side.
