Description
I was invited to speak about the impact of environmental degradation on maritime security, and recommendations on how to improve maritime governance and security in the Gulf of Guinea. The one day conference explored the sources of instability in the Gulf and the opportunities for extra-regional partner states to cooperate with both state and non-governmental actors to promote maritime security in the region.
The event, by invitation only, will provide a forum for discussion for delegates from across Whitehall, European partner states, regional partner state representatives, and non-governmental partners.
