Description

A Paper which looks closely hat how the Army of the Covenant was formed. It argues that rather then the Scottish nobles looking for an army after 1638, the doctrinaire military men serving in the European conflicts were looking to build an army as early as 1634. All they needed was support in Scotland to articulate their cause.
