Description

The Fortissat Science Alliance STEM podcast series was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to lockdowns and the impossibility of organising onsite, hands-on activities for the young people, we instead focused on recording interviews with practicing researchers via Zoom, editing the content, and turning it into a podcast series. In addition to the recordings, researcher profiles were also created to give the young people an insight into their virtual visitors, so that they could pepper them with questions during the interview. The podcasts have subsequently been recut and shared on live radio broadcasts. A subset of episodes was co-badged with EXPLORATHON, Scotland's contribution to European Researchers Night, which enabled researchers from Malta and other countries to be involved.
