Flipped Classroom Workshop

Description

1. explore flipped classrooms as a growing trend in higher education and the opportunities and challenges they pose for educators who wish to implement a ‘flip’ in their courses;

2. examine and discuss an illustrative example of a flipped classroom design that was developed in a management course to provide a capstone learning experience for final-year undergraduate students and review evaluative data on how this flip transformed student engagement and learning outcomes;

3. experience examples of flipped classroom techniques in practice through interactive activities;

4. gain insights into how a flipped classroom approach might be adapted and applied to participant’s own teaching; and

5. share resources and materials that provide support for flipping classrooms.
