Description

The presentation outlined the difference between an face-to-face objective structured clinical exam (OSCE) and the online OSCE station undertaken at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. The focus were the results of a cross-sectional descriptive questionnaire study conducted with medical students, examiners, simulated patients, and members of the support team: Overall, the satisfaction with the online OSCE was good, however, participants experienced technical difficulties mostly due to a poor internet connection. We concluded on four lessons learnt for potential future online OSCE stations.
