Description
Leverhulme Trust funded International Research Network set up to investigate representations of migration in contemporary media narrative (film and literature) in the Italian context. The network brought together scholars working in the U.K., Italy, New York, Australia and Egypt through a series of events over the 24 months. As part of the project a comprehensive databank of Italian films dealing with subject of migration was established and made public online, and an edited volume of contributions from the various events is forthcoming with Peter Land as part of their Italian Modernities series in 2013.
I was Network Facilitator and Literature Co-ordinator for the project, co-writing the funding application, organizing all events in the UK and abroad (US, Italy, Egypt), making original research contributions and co-editing the final volume.
