Description

As a workshop leader, I have designed this workshop to emphasise the importance of reading published scientific papers critically. The workshop participants are third- and fourth-year Biology students and the aim of the workshop is to teach students the ability to: (i) identify the ‘research questions’ in a scientific paper and assess how close the experiments have come to answer these questions, (ii) make reasonable judgements based on relevant criteria and consider those criteria for a thoughtful decision or conclusions.
