Description
Chair of Parliament Week Event: “IMAGINE …. Could a non-party Scottish Parliament work?”14th-20th November is Parliament Week, and a programme of events and activities will be running across the UK, which seek to connect people with Parliament and democracy. In collaboration with the Scottish Youth Parliament and the Byre Theatre, the Centre for Housing Research will be hosting Scotland’s only speaking event.
Entitled: “IMAGINE …. Could a non-party Scottish Parliament work?” our event will be held in the Byre Theatre Café in St Andrews, on the evening of Wednesday 19 November with doors opening at 5:30pm. Chaired by CHR’s Director, Dr Kim McKee, the informal event will include reflections from Louise Cameron (MSYP), Chair of the Scottish Youth Parliament and an International Relations student at the University. We will then invite audience members to offer their thoughts and perspectives. The idea is to create an atmosphere where people can talk openly, with passion and keeping minds open to new ideas (after Newcastle Café Culture format).
