Description
Brew and Review is an informal reading and discussion series that meets weekly across both academic semesters. Open to students and scholars at any stage, in each 90-minute session, two or three participants present a paper, article, book or essay that they found particularly inspiring. Presentations are brief (approximately 10 minutes each) and focus on why the paper resonated with the presenter. This is followed by open discussion, allowing participants to explore connections, contrasts, and questions across disciplines. The series is deliberately relaxed in tone, prioritising the joy of discovery and conversation over formal academic presentation. All readings are circulated in advance to give participants time to engage with them, but prior expertise is not required. This is a welcoming space where the community as a whole can share their passion for specific topics and authors in an attempt to resonate across disciplinary boundaries
