Neil Rhodes’s research on English Renaissance drama and poetry has formed the
basis for articles, which he has contributed regularly to the magazine of Shakespeare’s
Globe, Around the Globe, since the late 1990s. Many of these have been reproduced
in the programmes for productions both at the London theatre and on tour, most
recently The Knight of the Burning Pestle and Much Ado about Nothing (both 2015).
He has also written about Donne and Herbert to accompany readings of their poetry in
the Globe’s The Voice and the Echo (2015), a series of performances in which
contemporary poets respond to the work of Renaissance writers.
