Along with Michael Depreter, who works on the 15th century, I gave a research paper to the Oxford University History of Warfare research seminar on the place of artillery in both warfare and the development of the state during the early modern period. The dual-speaker event was billed as "Conversation: Artillery, Warfare and the Early Modern State".
