We welcome acclaimed Romanian documentarian Alexandru Solomon.He will be involved in three events; everyone welcome:
Documentary Masterclass, Tuesday, 30 October, 5-7 pm at Arts Seminar 7. Of interest for those who plan to make documentaries or want to connect with people who want to make documentaries. It will discuss the specifics of documentary planning, budgeting, production and post-production, and dissemination strategies.
Film Festivals Masterclass, Wednesday, 31 October, 3-4:30 om at Arts Seminar 5. Of interest for those who plan to start a film festival (as he is the founder and director of a political documentary festival ONE WORLD ROMANIA).
On Wednesday, 31 October, screening and discussion of TARZAN’S TESTICLES (2017) as part of Byre World, Byre theatre, 5- 7 pm
This is a film set in Suhumi, Abkhazia (former USSR) in the Institute for Experimental Pathology and Therapy, which was founded under Stalin in the 1930s. It shows the work of researchers who are involved in attempts to create a human-ape hybrid. Of particular interest to scientists, political scientists, anthropologists.
