2020 OBANGAME EXPRESS Virtual Senior Leadership Symposium

The virtual SLS will provide a safe and practical venue to replace the traditional SLS that was cancelled in March 2020 due to pandemic related travel restrictions and public health concerns. Like a traditional SLS, the webinar aims to bring together leaders from a broad scope of services and organizations concerned with maritime security to discuss the maritime threats that exist in Atlantic Africa and the Gulf of Guinea and promote multinational cooperation to address those threats.

Intended participants include senior Naval and Coast Guard leadership from Africa, Europe and the Americas, as well as relevant leadership from maritime industry and African maritime security focused international organizations. USNWC is coordinating the list of presenters and panellists. The virtual SLS is open to Heads of Navy and/or Coast Guard or designated representative from the following list of countries:
Morocco, Mauritania, Cabo Verde, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé and Príncipe, Gabon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Namibia, South Africa, Canada, Brazil, United Kingdom, Norway, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Portugal, Spain, France and Italy.

Additionally, attendance is requested from the following international organizations:
