I write on behalf of the Virginia Woolf Society of Great Britain formally to invite you to give the 2017 Annual Virginia Woolf Birthday Lecture. It will be held on Saturday, 21 January at 2pm in the Senate House, University of London. We normally expect the lecture to fill an hour including some time for questions so the precise balance between these is at your discretion. After the lecture there will be the annual birthday cake cutting celebration at which you will be invited to cut the cake. The audience number has varied over the years but recently has ranged from 60 to 120 and is a mixture of students/academics and general readers with a preponderance of the latter. We do not require the lecture in advance but, as you probably know, it is published afterwards by the Society. The University will also ask if you are prepared to have the lecture recorded for their, and our, website. Best wishes Lindsay C MartinExecutive Council, VWSGB0208 245 3580/07734 106131
